Introduction

Pulse Power and Measurement Ltd., hereafter referred to as 'PPM', was founded in 1994 as a distributor of Pulse Power Systems, Power Electronics Components & EMC Test Equipment.  In 1995 PPM purchased Electro Optic Developments (fibre optic electronics products).  This business was fully integrated into PPM in 1997.  Today PPM designs and manufactures a range of "RF over Fibre" electronic systems, which allow RF electrical signals to be transmitted over fibre optic cables.  This provides signal transmission over long distances without loss and also signal integrity and security.

PPM Power, a division of PPM, is a specialist European distributor of power solutions equipment manufactured by our partners in the USA, Europe and Asia.

PPM is a fully independent privately owned UK registered business.  PPM is accredited to ISO9001:2008 and Investors in People.  PPM has focused its business on specific market areas in order to provide better service to our customers.

PPM Power
Through our partners, PPM Power provides a wide range of power supplies, power components, pulse power systems, and monitoring equipment for custom and OEM applications.  Markets include semiconductor manufacturing, medical and military equipment, industrial OEMs and national laboratories.  PPM Power also applies its broad base of partners in engineering and physics to consulting on specific engineering problems and development requirements.  Using a combination of in-house design engineers with our network of specialist consultants and equipment manufacturers PPM Power has the ability undertake complex and challenging high voltage and high power custom designs.

PPM Test & Instrumentation
The point2point and Sentinel/Sentry fibre optic link ranges provide a means of transporting RF and Digital signals in the presence of intense electromagnetic fields.  These products in conjunction with our RF Amplifiers and RF Sensors/Probes serve the needs of the EMC, EMP, Lightning Test and Tempest communities.  The point2point product range also brings new capabilities to timing and monitoring applications within the High Energy Physics arena. EMC shielded camera systems permit visual monitoring of hazardous environments.

Communications
PPM's ViaLite range of inter-facility fibre optic links transport RF & Data signals in RF communication systems, satellite ground stations, broadcast facilities, Internet service providers, GPS antenna applications and other communication gateways.  The product has been designed for high reliability and provides the user with confidence that the product will be supported over the long lifetimes required from communications infrastructure. 

Special Projects
PPM employs its core expertise skills of opto-electronic, RF, microwave, high speed digital, microprocessor and software design in the development and manufacture of custom equipment. Applications are diverse, and include both military and commercial projects. PPM excels at the rapid development and on-time delivery of products designed to meet a customer's specific requirement.
