Applied Energetics, Inc acquired North Star Research in September, 2004 and offers high voltage products and components under the brand name North Star Power Engineering. They continue to make significant advances in high voltage technology to provide our clients with the most advanced high quality, high voltagesystems available under the "Applied Energetics High Voltage" name.
Our high voltage pulsed power product line includes high power solid-state pulse generators (SSPG), IGBT arbitrary waveform generators, classic pulse forming networks, and Marx bank generators (such as the 500kV Marx Generator shown on the left).
The DC high voltage products include our unique nested high voltage generator, NHVG, for electron and ion beam accelerators as well as high voltage DC power supplies. All of our high voltage designs are extremely robust withstanding microsecond output transients and load faults that would otherwise destroy most HV power supplies.
Through our partners Northstar Power Engineering and Applied Energetics we also offer a full range of high voltage engineering services to ensure a component or system accurately fulfills a customer's safety, environmental, and application requirements.
