Typhoon-HIL have developed a real time hardware-in-the-loop technology to enable the development and testing of power electronics control hardware, firmware and software. By utilising HiL risks can be significantly reduced and time on expensive prototypes or high power test benches optimised. The HiL800 and HiL400 products combine state of the art FPGA processors with a unique approach to solving power electronics problems, to deliver 1uS latency and time resolution. The time required to debug, By utilising this ultra-fine time resolution, control schemes can be tested in a safe low cost environment, before employing scarce, costly and dangerous high power test facilities. What's included? Typhoon provide the processor hardware, a schematic editor, compiler and a simulation controller. No other software licenses are required. Supported models include 3 phase AC, rectifiers, inverters, various rotating machines, grid conditioning systems and passive components. Other models can be added at the customer's request, including jointly developed representations of specific systems.
