Lattice steel resistors incorporate resistance elements made of high-alloy heat-resistant sheet steel. The elements are slotted on both sides, creating a meandering current path. The resistance value depends on the width of the ridge, and the elements are reinforced along their sides by special steel rails on micanite strips. Up to 30 resistance elements are mounted on load-bearing bolts insulated with mica tube. Two adjacent elements are insulated by ceramic sockets, current is conducted by special steel rolls
